In the first quarter of 2024, Latin America's social networking scene saw notable performance trends among the top applications. Data from Sensor Tower provides an overview of how these apps fared on a unified platform, combining iOS and Android metrics.

Grindr - Gay Dating & Chat experienced a slight fluctuation in revenue, hovering around the $200K mark, with a peak at $207K in late February. Downloads showed a declining trend from 79K to 66K in mid-January, later picking up to over 76K by the end of March. Weekly active users started at 2.2M, dipped to 2.1M mid-quarter, and stabilized around 2.2M towards the end.

Meta Platforms' Facebook saw revenues between $83K and $100K, with a peak in mid-February and late March. Downloads were impressive with an early January peak at 2.3M and a significant spike to 3.4M in early March. The platform's weekly active users remained consistently high, ranging from 303M to 308M.

Life360: Find Friends & Family observed revenues growing from $47K to over $65K in late February, followed by a slight dip. Downloads peaked at 330K in mid-March, with a low of 223K in early February. The app's weekly active users saw an increase from 6.5M to over 7.7M by mid-March.

Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out had a stable revenue stream, ranging from $74K to $86K. Downloads showed a slight decline from 373K in early January to around 360K at the quarter's end. The app's weekly active users count saw a modest rise from 12.2M to 12.5M.

Lastly, Telegram Messenger displayed a revenue increase from $55K to a peak of $94K in late February, followed by a decrease to $62K. Downloads started strong at 1.3M, dipped to 1.2M, and slightly recovered to 1.2M by the end of March. Weekly active users were stable, with a slight decrease from 29.8M to 29.1M.
